Membership Enrollment

Full Member

Full members are able to participate in the wholesale electricity market and are broken down in to two types of membership: Voting members or Affiliate members. Voting Members are able to vote at the Senior Standing Committees. Affiliate Members are in the same ‘family’ of companies as a Voting Member and do not have voting rights the Senior Standing Committees.

The annual membership fee is not required for affiliate members.

Associate Member

Associate members can participate in the stakeholder process and take PJM offered training free of charge. However, these members cannot transact or participate in the competitive wholesale market. Additionally, these members do not have voting rights in any stakeholder activities, committees or task forces. Associate members are responsible for paying the annual membership fee in the amount of $2,500.

Ex Officio Member

Ex officio membership is available to state offices of consumer advocates. This membership type is ineligible to transact in the wholesale electricity market. These members do, however, have voting rights at the MRC and MC as part of the End User Customer Sector. Ex officio members are responsible for paying the annual membership fee in the amount of $500.

Special Member

Special members (Emergency Customer Load Reduction Program) are granted “special membership” for purposes of participating in PJM’s Emergency Load Reduction Program. Special members do not have voting rights and are responsible for paying the annual membership fee in the amount of $500.
