Electrical Theory

This three-day course covers the principals involved in the operation of the power system.

Concepts covered include:

  • Resistance, Inductance and Capacitance
  • Power Triangle
  • Power Factor
  • Basic Transformer Theory
  • Real and reactive power flow

Students should have strong math skills. Familiarity with Trigonometric concepts is a plus, but all necessary Trig functions will be explained during the class.
